I was somewhat disappointed in this model; there's hardly anything holding the blade together. I had to use a piece of tape along the inside back of the blade to keep it from coming apart.

The papercraft is on an 8.5x11 piece of paper for size reference.

Thanks to Tektonten, you can get it from here: [link]

Thanks for building my sword. :) Sorry you were disappointed. It was one of the first paper models I designed. Not my best work. I intentionally didn't put any gluing tabs on the "sharp" edge of the blade because it got too bulky that way. The intent was to glue inside the two halves at the sharp edge to hold it together.

Oh, hello there. How did you find this? Kind of flattered that you even left a comment. :3

Anyways, I actually built this in 2009/basically when I first discovered the hobby, so I blame my opinion on inexperience. ^_^"

I was browsing DA for papercraft photos when I came across yours. I thought it was pretty cool how you had the Master Chief holding the sword in the other photo. :)

Not bad piece of paper work. Is there a PSF or PDO file for this? Would love to give this a shot.

If you're still curious about its size, I taped it to the Master Chief papercraft in the picture with the ceiling cat.
The only thing you have to watch out for is the tip of the sword; make sure you cut it out as straight/cleanly as possible so that it's easier to put together in the end. Other than that, perhaps cutting a tab for the back of the blade so it's possible to glue together.
